Bridlewood and Grand Oaks Grand Opening

 JUNE 10 - 12, 2010

The completion of the 26-building/88 unit Bridlewood Place and the 27-building/88 unit Grand Oaks affordable housing development culminates a four-year $20 million HOPE VI funded (leveraged to over $80 million) redevelopment plan for the distressed Bluegrass-Aspendale (BGA) neighborhood.  Each site has one, two and three-bedroom rental units.  Bridlewood Place is located on 9.58 acres and Grand Oaks on 10.6 acres of the site that was once home to BGA.
 
Join the Lexington Housing Authority along with our partners to celebrate the grand opening with:
 
  • A dedication ceremony on Friday, June 11 @ 10:00 a.m.
  • In the vicinity of 720 East Sixth Street (Midland Ave. to Shropshire Ave. and follow directional signs)
  • "What Home Means to Me" Art Contest Winners (students from William Wells Brown

               Elementary School) will be recognized at the dedication ceremony
